FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OYE-EKITI (FUOYE) RELEASES PROPOSED ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has released the proposed unified academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session for fresh and returning students. The calendar outlines key academic activities, including registration, resumption, orientation, matriculation, lectures, examinations, and semester breaks.

According to the calendar issued by the University’s Academic Affairs Division, fresh students are expected to resume on Monday, 21st September, 2026, while returning students will resume on Monday, 5th October, 2026.

Lectures for all regular undergraduate students are scheduled to commence on Monday, 12th October, 2026, with orientation programmes and matriculation ceremonies to follow for various categories of students.

• Monday, 21st September, 2026 – Resumption and online registration for fresh students.
• Monday, 5th October, 2026 – Resumption and online registration for all programmes (Full-Time, SPGS, IPTS, INSI, Distance Learning and JUPEB).
• Monday, 12th October, 2026 – Lectures begin for all regular students.
• Monday, 12th October, 2026 – Orientation programme for fresh postgraduate students.
• Monday, 19th October, 2026 – Lectures begin for Distance Learning students.

School Fees Deadlines

• Friday, 20th November, 2026 – Deadline for payment of school fees for regular students.
• Friday, 27th November, 2026 – Deadline for payment of school fees for IPTS & INSI students.
• Friday, 27th November, 2026 – Deadline for payment of school fees for Distance Learning students.

End of First Semester

• Friday, 18th December, 2026 – End of year break for all programmes.
• Monday, 4th January – Sunday, 17th January, 2027 – Presidential Election and National Assembly break.
• Monday, 18th January, 2027 – Lectures resume for all programmes.
• Friday, 29th January, 2027 – Lectures end for regular students.
• Monday, 1st – Saturday, 6th February, 2027 – Governorship and State House of Assembly break (Not in Ekiti).
• Monday, 8th – Friday, 12th February, 2027 – Revision week for regular students.
• Monday, 15th February, 2027 – First Semester Examination begins for all regular students.
