UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA (UNN) EXTENDS POST-UTME APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially announced an extension of the registration deadline for its 2026/2027 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening exercise.
According to the university, the online application, which was originally scheduled to close on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, will now remain open until midnight on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
The extension provides another opportunity for qualified candidates who are yet to complete their registration for the admission screening exercise.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
The application is open to candidates who:
- Chose the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) as their first-choice institution during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Scored 160 and above in the 2026 UTME.
- Meet the admission requirements for their chosen programmes.
Opportunity for Awaiting Result Candidates
The university also encouraged candidates awaiting the release of their:
- 2026 WAEC (June) Results, or
- 2026 NECO (July) Results
to take advantage of the extended registration period by completing their Post-UTME application before the new deadline.
Such candidates are expected to upload their O’Level results to both the JAMB CAPS and the University of Nigeria admission portal immediately after the results are released.

- Previous Closing Date: Wednesday, August 5, 2026
- New Closing Date: Midnight, Wednesday, August 19, 2026
Applicants are strongly advised not to wait until the final day before completing their registration to avoid last-minute technical issues.
