UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT (UNIPORT) ANNOUNCES POST-UTME SCREENING TEST SCHEDULE FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has officially released the schedule and registration guidelines for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Exercise.
The screening is open to candidates who chose UNIPORT as their First Choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and secured a minimum score of 160.
Post-UTME Examination Schedule
The screening test will take place daily between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Candidates are expected to check their specific timelines on their printed Photo Cards and report to designated venues accordingly. The faculty breakdown is scheduled as follows:
Monday, 8th June, 2026: Nursing | Agriculture
Tuesday, 9th June, 2026: Humanities | Allied Health Sciences | Pharmacy | Communication & Media Studies
Wednesday, 10th June, 2026: Management Sciences | Law | School of Science Laboratory Technology (SSLT)
Thursday, 11th June, 2026: Engineering | Education | Science
Friday, 12th June, 2026: Social Sciences | Computing
Saturday, 13th June, 2026: Medicine and Surgery | Anatomy / Physiology / Dentistry
Application and Registration Procedure
Online application must be completed through the official university portal at www.uniport.edu.ng. The registration link will be deactivated at midnight on Saturday, 6th June, 2026.
To register, eligible candidates must:
Log in with their UTME Registration Number and verify their pre-loaded details.
Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code.
Make a standard payment of ₦2,000.00 only online via ATM card or at any commercial bank using the Remita platform.
Return to the portal to confirm payment, complete the registration form, and print the Photo Card required for screening venue clearance.
Critical Deadlines & Admission Compliance
Second Choice Candidates: Applicants who selected UNIPORT as their second choice but wish to participate in the screening must execute a change of institution to UNIPORT via the JAMB portal no later than Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026.
Age Requirement: All applicants must be at least sixteen (16) years of age by September 2026 to be considered eligible.
Credentials Consistency: The university warns that any discrepancies in names or photographs across O’Level certificates, UTME results, and application forms may result in immediate disqualification.
JAMB CAPS Upload: Candidates must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Failure to upload will automatically nullify admission consideration.
Examination Venue Regulations
Candidates are required to bring only a clear copy of their printed online Photo Card and a pen.
In a strict security warning, the university management stated that mobile phones, iPads, iPods, similar electronic gadgets, or extraneous materials are strictly banned from the screening environment. Furthermore, parents, guardians, and uninvited security personnel will not be permitted access onto the university campus during the examination days.
