The management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has officially released the approved admission cut-off marks, UTME subject combinations, O’Level requirements, and Direct Entry qualifications for prospective candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The released admission guidelines cover programmes under the Faculties of Physical Sciences and Social Sciences, providing candidates with detailed information on the minimum scores required for admission as well as the relevant subject requirements for each course.

According to the university, candidates are advised to carefully study the admission requirements of their preferred programmes before applying, as meeting the minimum cut-off mark alone does not automatically guarantee admission.

  • B.Sc. Chemistry
  • B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry
  • B.Sc. Geology
  • B.Sc. Geophysics
  • B.Sc. Mathematics

  • B.Sc. Physics

The approved minimum admissible score for all programmes in the faculty is 150. Candidates are expected to possess the required UTME subject combinations and at least five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics. Direct Entry candidates must also satisfy the prescribed qualifications for their chosen programmes.

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

The Faculty of Social Sciences offers admission into the following programmes:

  • B.Sc. Criminology and Security Studies
  • B.Sc. Demography and Social Statistics
  • B.Sc. Economics and Development Studies

  • B.Sc. Psychology
  • B.Sc. Sociology

The approved cut-off marks are as follows:

Programme Cut-Off Mark
Criminology and Security Studies 210
Demography and Social Statistics 150
Economics and Development Studies 180
Peace and Conflict Studies 150
Political Science 180
Psychology 150
Sociology 160

Candidates are encouraged to ensure that their UTME subject combinations align with the requirements of their chosen courses and that they possess the necessary O’Level credits before proceeding with admission applications.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

FUOYE management has advised all prospective students to thoroughly review the admission requirements for their preferred programmes and ensure that all necessary qualifications are met. Candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry are also required to possess the approved qualifications specified by the university.

The institution further emphasized that admission will be based on merit, compliance with admission requirements, and availability of spaces in the respective departments.

Prospective candidates are therefore encouraged to stay updated with official FUOYE admission announcements and ensure all relevant documents and credentials are uploaded correctly during the admission process.
