THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, ILARO (NOW FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, ILARO) RELEASES HND EVENING ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State hereby announces its Last and Final Admission Exercise into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Weekend Programme for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Weekend Programmes leading to the award of the Higher National Diploma (HND) qualification.
Registration is available online at www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng with effect from Wednesday, 27th May, 2026. Closing date is Monday, 27th July, 2026.

Programme Duration: 4 Semesters (Friday Evenings / Saturdays and Sundays)
ELIGIBILITY / ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for HND Weekend admission, candidates must possess the following:
National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA not less than 2.50) in a discipline related to the programme being applied for.
ND Pass candidates with Two (2) years of Industrial Training Experience will also be considered for the HND Weekend Programme.
O’Level Credits – Possession of the specific SSCE requirements (WAEC / NECO / NABTEB / GCE) relevant to the chosen programme.
Industrial Training (IT) – A minimum of One Calendar Year of Post-ND relevant Industrial Training Experience is compulsory.
Good performance in the Screening exercise conducted by the Polytechnic.
NIIT Registration – It is mandatory for all HND applicants to register on the NIIT (HND Admission) Portal.
Academic Transcript – Candidates who did not graduate from The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro must have their ND academic transcript sent by their ND-awarding institution, under Confidential Cover, directly to the Registrar.
IMPORTANT: Candidates whose transcripts have not been received will NOT be registered. The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro shall not register any candidate before the receipt of the ND Academic Transcript.
PLEASE NOTE: HND Weekend Programme candidates are NOT eligible to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. Such candidates will be issued a Certificate of Exclusion by the NYSC.
HOW TO APPLY
Step 1 – Visit the Portal
Go to www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng, click on “Portal” in the navigation bar, scroll down to “New Application”, then click “Online Admission.”
Step 2 – Generate Invoice
Fill in your personal details as they appear on your JAMB records and submit to generate your programme of study and payment invoice.
Step 3 – Make Payment
Take the generated invoice to any of the designated banks listed below and make payment to obtain your RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) number.

Step 4 – Complete Application Form
Return to the portal, click “Fill Application Form,” enter your RRR number and complete all sections of the application form.
IMPORTANT NOTES
All personal details on the form must correspond exactly with your WAEC/NECO and JAMB records. Any discrepancy will disqualify the application.
Entrance Examination dates will be announced on the Institution’s website and via applicants’ personal email addresses.
All entrance examinations are Computer-Based (CBT). Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly for updates and notifications.
Provide valid personal phone numbers and email addresses on your form.
The Polytechnic will not be liable for complications arising from payments made outside the official Portal.
Any candidate found registered for a programme they are not qualified for will have their admission withdrawn.
