UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA (UNN) ANNOUCES 52ND MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The Management of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is pleased to notify the university community, freshmen, and the general public that the 52nd Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session is officially scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026. This landmark event marks the formal entry of new students into one of Nigeria’s most prestigious first-generation universities, where they will take the oath of studentship.
Following the institutional tradition, the ceremony will be decentralized to ensure a more personal and organized experience for the large volume of freshmen across all campuses. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, who assumed office in August 2025 as the 16th Vice-Chancellor, will preside over the event, which is expected to showcase the university’s commitment to “restoring the dignity of man.”
