300 LEVEL STUDENT ARRESTED FOR THE MURDER OF A FINAL YEAR RIVER STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (RSUST) STUDENT

A 300-level Banking and Finance student of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Port Harcourt, simply named Derek has been arrested for the murder of a fellow student of the institution

Derek was arrested following reports of the death of a final-year engineering student of the school who was alleged to have been gunned down by suspected cultists.

The spokesperson of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Harcourt Whyte, has confirmed the killing of a final student of the institution by suspected members on Thursday morning, August 19, 2021.

The cultists were said to have trailed the student to a cafeteria near the faculty of management science, at about 9:20 am, where he was shot dead.

Mr. Whyte also revealed that the assailants have been arrested while the police have commenced an investigation into the matter .

It was gathered that the suspect trailed the deceased student to where he had gone to write his exams, accosted him, and then shot him dead.
