A 15-year-old student of Osadenis Mix Secondary School in Asaba, has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping his 14-year-old schoolmate.
The incident was confirmed by The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Onome Onovwakpoyeya, stating that only one of the three suspect was arrested, while two escaped

The culprit and two other students reportedly accosted the rape victim, after she went to the back of the school to urinate on Monday November 4. Her cries and shouts of agony attracted students and teachers to the scene of the incident.
It was further learnt that the parents of the rape victim are having a cold feet in pushing for prosecution of the suspect as they are reportedly looking for an out-of-court settlement.
