This process started on Thursday, 23rd January 2026. If you haven’t started yet, don’t worry—you can go online right now and get everything done. This is the part where you officially “lock in” your spot as a student.

The Three Main Jobs You Need to Do

To finish your registration, you need to visit the College Portal. You will use the same place where you did your Post-UTME application. Once you log in, there are three very important jobs to finish:

1. Update Your Biodata: This is just a fancy way of saying “Check your info.” You need to make sure the school has your correct name, home address, and phone number.

2. Pay Your School Fees: You will need to click a button to “Generate a Transaction ID.” This is like a special digital receipt code. Once you have it, you can pay your fees so the school knows you are ready to study.

3. Complete Course Registration: This is the best part! This is where you pick the actual classes you will be attending this year.

How to Get it Right the First Time

Sometimes, computer portals can be a little confusing. The university leaders want to make sure you don’t make any mistakes. They have created a special “Map” to help you, called the Registration Guidelines.

Pro Tip: Before you click anything, open the Registration Guidelines PDF. It tells you exactly which buttons to press and what to do if you get stuck. Reading this first will save you a lot of time!

A Quick Checklist for Success

To make sure your registration goes smoothly, here is what you should have ready before you sit down at the computer:

• Your Login Details: Make sure you have your username and password for the UMYU Portal.

• The Fees Money: Whether you are paying at a bank or online with a card, make sure the money is ready.

• A Quiet Spot: Try to do your registration in a place with good internet so the computer doesn’t turn off in the middle of your payment.

• A Printer: You will want to print out your “Course Form” and your “Payment Receipt” to keep in a safe folder.
