ONLINE SCREENING FOR THE 2025 UTME/DE ADMISSIONS
This message is for all candidates who applied for admission into Sokoto State University (SSU) through the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE).
If you chose Sokoto State University as your first choice during JAMB registration and scored at least 150 in your UTME, then this information is for you. The university is starting its online screening for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The screening will begin on Monday, 11th August 2025, and will close on Friday, 10th October 2025.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE SCREENING?
1. UTME Candidates – These are students who wrote the 2025 JAMB UTME and selected Sokoto State University as their first choice, with a minimum score of 150.
2. Direct Entry Candidates (DE) – These are students applying without UTME but with advanced qualifications like Diploma, NCE, IJMB, or A’level results.
DOCUMENTS YOU NEED TO UPLOAD
For UTME Candidates:
Your O’level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
You must have at least five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
The five credits must be obtained in no more than two sittings.
For Direct Entry Candidates:
A scanned copy of your relevant A’level results such as Diploma, NCE, or IJMB.
Your O’level results as stated above.
Both UTME and DE candidates must have already uploaded their O’level results to the JAMB CAPS portal at or at any JAMB-accredited CBT centre.
WHY IS THE SCREENING IMPORTANT?
The online screening is the university’s way of checking:
If your details match what you submitted to JAMB.
If your academic qualifications meet the school’s requirements.
If you are eligible for admission into your chosen course.
Only those who complete the screening will be considered for admission. If you do not take part, you will not be given admission, no matter your UTME score.
SCREENING PROCEDURE: STEP-BY-STEP
CampusInfo gave some steps to guide and help you complete the online screening without mistakes:
Step 1: Visit the University Portal
Go to website on your phone or computer.
This is the official Sokoto State University portal for all admission processes. Be careful not to use fake websites.
Step 2: Login with Your JAMB Registration Number
Your JAMB registration number will be your username and password for the first login.
Make sure you type it correctly without spaces.
Step 3: Update Your Contact Information
Once logged in, find the ‘Update Data’ button.
Type in your current phone number and active email address.
These will be used by the school to contact you, so make sure they are correct and accessible.
Step 4: Pay the Screening Fee
The screening fee is ₦2,000 only (excluding bank transaction charges).
Here’s how to pay:
1. Generate and print your payment invoice from the portal.
This invoice will have your Monnify Payment Reference Number.
2. You can take this invoice to any commercial bank to pay.
3. Alternatively, you can click ‘Pay Now’ on the portal to make payment instantly using your ATM card or any Monnify payment channel.
Keep your payment receipt safe. You will need it later.

IMPORTANT NOTES
The screening is strictly online. You don’t need to travel to Sokoto for any physical Post-UTME exam.
Only candidates who complete the online screening will be considered for admission.
The university will not ask for additional tests. Your uploaded documents will be used to decide your eligibility.
Double-check all information you provide; false details may lead to disqualification.
TIPS FOR A SMOOTH SCREENING PROCESS
1. Start Early: Don’t wait until the closing date. Early registration gives you time to correct mistakes.
2. Use a Good Internet Connection: Slow or unstable connections can cause errors during submission.
3. Scan Your Documents Clearly: Blurry or incomplete uploads can lead to rejection.
4. Check Your JAMB CAPS: Make sure your O’level results are already uploaded there before starting the SSU screening.
5. Keep Your Login Details Safe: Don’t share your portal password with others.
6. Follow Instructions Exactly: Every step in the portal is important; skipping one can stop your application from being processed.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SCREENING?
After the screening deadline:
1. The university will verify all documents you uploaded.
2. If you meet the requirements, your name will be sent to JAMB for approval.
3. You will then be able to check your admission status on JAMB CAPS.
