This is to inform all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 Academic Session that the 17th Matriculation Ceremony of Kwara State University (KWASU) has been scheduled to hold as follows:

• Date: Thursday, 22nd January 2026

• Time: 10:00 a.m. prompt

• Venue: Convocation Arena, Malete Campus

The matriculation ceremony is a very important academic event that officially admits new students into the University community. It marks the formal beginning of your academic journey as a bonafide student of Kwara State University. Attendance at this ceremony is compulsory for all newly admitted students who wish to be fully recognized by the University.

To ensure proper organization and smooth conduct of the ceremony, all newly admitted students who have successfully completed their course registration are hereby directed to take note of the following instructions:

1. Collection of Academic Gowns and Oath Forms
   All matriculating students are to visit their respective Faculty Offices starting from Wednesday, 21st January 2026, to:

   • Collect their academic gowns, and

   • Obtain the Matriculation Oath Form.

2. Completion of Matriculation Oath Form

   • The Matriculation Oath Form must be properly completed by each student.

   • The completed form must be returned to the Faculty Officer immediately after the matriculation ceremony.

   • Failure to submit the completed oath form may affect the student’s official matriculation status.

3. Return of Academic Gowns

   • All academic gowns must be returned to the Faculty Office on or before Friday, 23rd January 2026.

   • Students are advised to handle the gowns with care. Any loss or damage may attract a penalty as determined by the University authorities.

4. Eligibility to Matriculate

   • Only students who have fully completed their course registration are qualified to participate in the matriculation ceremony.

   • Students who fail to complete their registration may not be allowed to matriculate.

5. Conduct and Decorum

   • All students are expected to dress decently and conduct themselves in a manner befitting members of the University community.

   • Punctuality is very important. Students are advised to arrive early at the Convocation Arena to avoid unnecessary delays.

This ceremony is not only a formal academic tradition but also a moment of pride and celebration for students, parents, guardians, and the entire University community. It signifies your acceptance into the University and your commitment to abide by its rules, regulations, and academic standards.

All matriculating students are therefore strongly advised to take this notice seriously and comply strictly with all the instructions stated above.
