FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, AZARE (FUHSA) ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION DATES FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
Resumption for the 2025/2026 Academic Session
The management of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) wishes to inform all students, parents, guardians, and members of the general public that academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session will officially begin on Monday, 1st September 2025.
This date marks the beginning of another important journey for both newly admitted and returning students of the university. All students are expected to resume promptly to enable them to begin registration and settle down for classes without delay.
Important Information for All Students
1. Resumption Date
The official resumption date is Monday, 1st September 2025. Both new students (freshers) and returning students are to be on campus on this date. Coming early will help students avoid missing out on important activities such as orientation, registration, and the start of lectures.
2. Registration Fees
Students should take note that payment of registration fees must be made in full. The university no longer accepts installment or part payments. This means every student must make proper financial arrangements before resumption. Parents and guardians are advised to assist their children or wards in preparing ahead so that they will not face any difficulties when school activities begin.
3. Registration Process
Students are expected to complete their registration within the time allowed by the university. The registration period will be announced by the relevant units, and students are advised not to delay. Late registration can attract penalties, and in some cases, it can even stop students from attending lectures or writing examinations.
4. Adherence to Academic Calendar
The university operates with a strict academic calendar. This helps to ensure that all teaching, learning, and examinations are done in an orderly way. Students must therefore comply fully with the calendar to avoid problems. Missing registration or skipping academic activities can affect a student’s progress in school.
Advice to Newly Admitted Students
For the newly admitted students, this is a special moment. Gaining admission into FUHSA is a great achievement, and it comes with responsibilities. New students are encouraged to:
Attend all orientation activities organized by the university
Get familiar with the rules and regulations of the school.
Seek guidance from older students, lecturers, and staff when confused.
Stay disciplined, focused, and dedicated to their studies.
The university is committed to providing a safe and friendly environment where students can learn, grow, and prepare for their future careers in health sciences.
Advice to Returning Students
For returning students, this is an opportunity to continue from where they stopped and work towards completing their academic programmes successfully. Students are reminded to:
Return to campus early.
Register their courses on time.
Take their studies seriously, as their academic performance will determine their progress and eventual graduation.
Be good role models to new students by showing discipline and good behavior.
Financial Responsibility
Since the university no longer accepts installment payment of fees, students and their sponsors are encouraged to plan ahead. This will save students from unnecessary stress or delays in registration. The management understands that times may be tough, but proper planning will help students focus on their education without distractions.
Parents and guardians should note that students who do not pay their fees in full will not be allowed to complete registration or participate in academic activities.
