This opportunity is open to all interested and qualified candidates who wish to gain admission into EKSU through the Pre-Degree or JUPEB route — particularly those who may not yet have UTME qualifications or who are seeking a direct entry pathway into the university’s undergraduate programmes.

💡 Available Study Opportunities

Candidates can apply for any of the following programmes:

• (a) A one-year Pre-Degree programme, which qualifies successful candidates for 100 Level admission into EKSU.

• (b) A one-year JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board) programme, which grants successful students Direct Entry admission into 200 Level in EKSU or any other Nigerian university that accepts JUPEB results.

Both programmes are designed to prepare students for life in the university by strengthening their academic foundation and improving their chances of success in degree courses.

🕐 Purpose and Duration

The Centre for Foundation Programmes is dedicated to preparing prospective students for undergraduate studies through intensive academic training.

Each programme lasts one academic session (approximately 9 to 12 months), during which students take carefully selected courses that mirror those taught in the university. The goal is to bridge any academic gaps and ensure that participants are fully prepared for university-level education.

At the end of the session:

• Pre-Degree students who meet the required scores and obtain JAMB registration will be offered admission into 100 Level of their chosen programmes.

• JUPEB students who successfully pass the JUPEB examination will qualify for Direct Entry admission into 200 Level in EKSU or other partnering institutions.

✅ Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission into either programme, candidates must:

• Possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in SSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB.

• The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

• Candidates awaiting results may also apply, provided their results will be ready before the end of the programme.

Applicants are strongly advised to select courses relevant to their intended undergraduate degree to ensure a smooth transition after completion.
