UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN [UI] RELEASES ADMISSION CUT-OFF MARKS FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The University of Ibadan (UI) has officially released the departmental admission cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 academic session. All candidates who participated in the Post-UTME screening exercise are strongly advised to check the released cut-off marks to know their chances of securing admission into their chosen courses.
The cut-off marks represent the minimum scores required for admission into each department, based on the combination of UTME scores, Post-UTME performance, and O’Level results. Candidates who meet or surpass the cut-off for their preferred courses stand a higher chance of being admitted, while those who fall below may consider supplementary or related courses within the university.
UI remains one of the most competitive universities in Nigeria, and admission is strictly based on merit. Candidates are therefore encouraged to log in to the school portal to confirm their departmental cut-off marks and stay updated on the admission process.

AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY (ABU) RELEASES POST-UTME SCREENING RESULTS FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
Prospective Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) candidates who are eager to check their Post-UTME results. This version explains each step thoroughly, adds helpful tips, and answers common questions so that even first-time users can follow along without stress.
Complete Step-by-Step Guide: How to Check Your ABU Post-UTME Result
Every year, thousands of candidates sit for the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Post-UTME screening. After putting in all that effort, the next big moment is finding out your result. If you wrote the 2025/2026 ABU Post-UTME, congratulations on reaching this stage! The university has officially activated its result-checking portal, and the process is straightforward once you know what to do.
This guide walks you through everything—visiting the portal, logging in, understanding your aggregate score, and avoiding common mistakes. Read carefully and keep your registration details nearby.
1️⃣ Gather Your Details First
Before opening the portal, make sure you have:
JAMB Registration Number exactly as it appears on your JAMB slip.
State of Origin, which you selected during your JAMB registration.
Having these ready saves you time and prevents typing errors that might stop you from logging in.
2️⃣ Visit the Official ABU Post-UTME Portal
Open your preferred browser (Chrome, Safari, or Edge) on a phone, tablet, or computer with a stable internet connection. Type or click this address.
Double-check the spelling. Using only the official site is important—avoid links shared by unofficial blogs or social media accounts to protect your personal information.
3️⃣ Locate the Login Area
When the page loads, look to the right side of the homepage. You will see a box or panel labeled “Login Area.”
This is where you will enter your personal details to access the result page. If you are browsing on a small screen, you might need to scroll slightly to find it.
4️⃣ Enter Your Credentials
Inside the Login Area:
JAMB Registration Number: Carefully type the 10-digit number from your JAMB slip.
State of Origin: Choose your state from the drop-down list.
Be patient and ensure every character is correct. A single typo can lead to a “Record Not Found” message.
5️⃣ Click Login
After confirming your details, hit the Login button. The portal will load your personal dashboard within a few seconds. If the page seems slow, check your internet connection and avoid repeated clicks, which can refresh the page unnecessarily.
6️⃣ Go to “Notification” to View Your Result
Inside your dashboard, look at the menu bar and click “Notification.”
Your Post-UTME score and aggregate will be displayed clearly. The aggregate combines your UTME score with your Post-UTME performance, giving you the final number ABU will use in its admission process.
7️⃣ Understanding Your Aggregate
Post-UTME Score: This is the raw score from the screening test.
Aggregate Score: This blends your JAMB score and Post-UTME score based on ABU’s formula.
A higher aggregate strengthens your chances for admission, especially in competitive courses such as Medicine, Law, and Engineering.
8️⃣ Print or Save Your Result
It’s a good idea to print the page or take a clear screenshot. Admission processes can take time, and having a copy ready helps if you need to upload or present it during departmental screenings.
Common Questions & Quick Tips
Q: What if I forget my JAMB Registration Number?
Check your JAMB slip or the email you used during UTME registration. You cannot log in without it.
Q: The site isn’t loading. What should I do?
Peak periods can cause heavy traffic. Try again later in the day or early morning when fewer candidates are online.
Q: Can someone else check my result for me?
Yes, but share your details only with someone you fully trust. Your JAMB number is personal information.
Q: I entered correct details but see “No Record Found.”
Ensure that ABU has officially released results for your exam date. If the problem persists, wait a few hours and try again.
Stay Informed After Checking
Checking your result is just one step. Keep an eye on:
ABU Admission Lists: The university will publish merit and supplementary lists.
JAMB CAPS Portal: Your admission status will also appear on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System.
Departmental Cut-offs: Different faculties set different minimum aggregates.
Bookmark the official ABU website and follow only credible announcements.
Final Reminder
Checking your ABU Post-UTME result is completely free aside from any personal data charges for internet use. No special scratch card or hidden fee is required. Anyone asking for payment to “help you check” or “upgrade” your score is not affiliated with the university.
By following these steps carefully—gathering your JAMB number, visiting the correct portal, logging in through the right-hand panel, and selecting Notification—you can view and secure your 2025/2026 ABU Post-UTME result without stress. Good luck as you move to the next stage of the admission process, and may your hard work pay off with a well-deserved offer of admission!
