🏫 Overview
The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially released its 2025/2026 Academic Calendar for Undergraduate Students.
This calendar serves as a comprehensive guide for the entire academic year, starting from Monday, 29 September 2025, and concluding with the start of the 2026/2027 session on Monday, 14 September 2026.
It clearly outlines when registration, lectures, assessments, examinations, and breaks will occur.

1️⃣ Harmattan Semester (First Semester)
Registration Period
Normal Registration: Monday 29 September – Friday 10 October 2025
All fresh and returning students are expected to register online within these two weeks.
Certificate Clearance (Penultimate Level): Runs concurrently from Monday 29 September – Thursday 9 October and continues intermittently until Thursday 30 October 2025 for students approaching graduation.
Late Registration: Monday 13 – Friday 17 October 2025
Students who miss normal registration can still register, but late fees apply.
Lectures and Course Adjustments
Lectures Begin: Monday 20 October 2025.
Add & Drop of Courses: Monday 20 – Friday 24 October 2025.
This window allows you to correct your course list without penalty.

Faculty Board Review: Monday 27 – Wednesday 29 October 2025
Business Committee of Senate Review: Tuesday 4 – Thursday 6 November 2025
Special Senate Review: Thursday 13 November 2025
These steps ensure all students are properly registered and academically cleared.
Key Mid-Semester Activities
Matriculation Ceremony: Tuesday 18 November 2025
This is a formal induction for all newly admitted students.
CBT Continuous Assessment: Monday 24 – Friday 29 November 2025
Students should be prepared for computer-based tests that contribute to their semester grades.
End of Semester
Last Day of Lectures: Friday 9 January 2026
Lecture-Free Week & Upload of CA Results: Monday 12 – Friday 16 January 2026
A short break to finalize continuous assessment scores.
Harmattan Semester Examinations: Monday 19 January – Friday 6 February 2026

Business Committee of Senate to Consider Final Year Results (Presentation I): Tuesday 3 – Thursday 5 March 2026
Special Senate Meeting for Final Year Results (Presentation I): Thursday 12 March 2026
A second round of considerations occurs after the Rain Semester:
Faculty Board (Presentation II): Monday 20 – Thursday 23 July 2026
Business Committee of Senate (Presentation II): Monday 27 – Thursday 29 July 2026
Business Committee to Consider Other Final Year Results: Tuesday 4 August 2026
Senate to Consider Graduating Students’ Results (Presentation II): Thursday 6 August 2026
Graduating students must also ensure Certificate Clearance is completed as scheduled by the Clearance Committee.

For students in lower levels, the university will review “Good Standing” results to confirm academic progress:

Session Break: Tuesday 25 August – Sunday 13 September 2026
Commencement of 2026/2027 Academic Session & Resumption of New Students: Monday 14 September 2026
This marks the transition into a brand-new academic year.

Teaching Practice (Faculty of Education): 15 September – 31 October 2025 for students in education-related programmes.
Sports Activities: Every Wednesday 4 – 6 pm is lecture-free, giving students time for athletics or recreation.

If you have been offered admission, you can proceed to Accept or Reject the admission by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the specific Phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
Candidates have 4 weeks to accept the offer of admission..Those who do not have their registered phone numbers are to visit a JAMB accredited centre to Accept or Reject.
It is important to note also that candidates who have been offered admission are to print their admission letter after accepting the admission, as they will likely need this during clearance and registration in the school that they have been admitted.
Note: If you are using a phone, you may not see the option to check Admission Status on CAPS, Most phone users may only see the welcome message. You are to use the desktop mode to view the complete page. This is why the chrome browser is recommended if you are using a phone.
