The management of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, has released the official academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. The calendar outlines important academic activities, registration timelines, lecture periods, breaks, and semester examinations for both returning and newly admitted students.

First Semester Schedule (2025/2026)
The academic session is officially set to begin on Monday, 3rd November 2025 with the resumption and registration of both newly admitted and returning students. During this period, students are expected to complete necessary registration formalities including payment of fees, departmental clearance, and course registration.
Lectures for the first semester will commence one week later on Monday, 10th November 2025. The university has emphasized the importance of early registration as lectures will begin immediately without delays. Students who fail to register within the normal registration period risk late registration penalties.
From Monday, 8th December to Wednesday, 10th December 2025, an Orientation Programme will be held for newly admitted 100 level and Direct Entry students. This important program is designed to introduce fresh students to the rules, culture, and academic expectations of the university. It also serves as an opportunity for them to meet principal officers, faculty members, and student support services.
The first draft of the First Semester Examination Timetable will be released on Friday, 19th December 2025, which also marks the end of normal registration for the semester. Students are therefore strongly urged to complete their registration before this date to avoid late penalties and academic complications.
The university will embark on a Christmas and New Year break from Friday, 19th December 2025 to Friday, 2nd January 2026, giving students and staff a two-week holiday.
Upon resumption from the break on Monday, 5th January 2026, late registration begins. Students who missed the earlier window of normal registration will have a chance to complete theirs but with an additional late registration charge.
The Final Examination Timetable for the first semester will be released on Friday, 16th January 2026, setting the pace for academic revision and preparation.
Mid-semester tests will be conducted from Monday, 19th January to Friday, 23rd January 2026. Attendance and participation in these tests are compulsory as they form part of students’ continuous assessment.
A major academic milestone, the Matriculation Ceremony for newly admitted students, is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 4th February 2026. This event officially inducts fresh students into the university community and confirms their studentship status.
The first semester will proceed with a lecture-free week from Monday, 9th February to Friday, 13th February 2026. This week will be used for revision in preparation for examinations.
The First Semester Examination will begin on Monday, 16th February 2026 and end on Saturday, 7th March 2026.
A significant event in the university calendar, Convocation Day, will be held on Wednesday, 4th March 2026. This ceremony celebrates the academic achievements of graduating students.
Finally, the semester ends with a two-week break from Monday, 10th March to Friday, 20th March 2026.
Second Semester Schedule (2025/2026)
The Second Semester will commence on Monday, 23rd March 2026 with the resumption of academic activities and course registration for all students. One week after resumption, Second Semester lectures will begin on Monday, 30th March 2026.
The university’s Senate will convene on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026 to consider and approve First Semester Results. This timely release of results ensures academic transparency and allows students to plan accordingly.

Late registration begins on Monday, 27th April 2026.

The final Second Semester examination timetable is expected to be released on Monday, 25th May 2026, while a lecture-free week will follow from Monday, 15th June to Friday, 19th June 2026.
Second Semester examinations will begin on Monday, 22nd June 2026 and conclude on Saturday, 11th July 2026.
The academic session will officially end with a Senate meeting for consideration of Second Semester results on Wednesday, 26th August 2026.
