Bingham University, Karu, is pleased to announce that it has received formal approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce new academic programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Campusinfo Team reports gathered that, approval, which was officially conveyed in a letter dated 17th July, 2025, was signed by Abubakar M. Girei, the Acting Director of Academic Planning, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC. According to the letter, the approval follows a thorough resource verification exercise carried out by a panel of academic and professional experts who visited the university earlier in the year. During the visit, the panel conducted a detailed assessment of the human and material resources available at Bingham University to support the establishment of the new programmes.

The newly approved programmes include Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Design, and Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Chemistry. These programmes are to be offered on a full-time basis, beginning from the 2025/2026 academic session. With the addition of these courses, the number of undergraduate programmes at Bingham University now stands at 48, while postgraduate offerings have increased to 59, making a combined total of 107 academic programmes currently available at the university.
