BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO (BUK) FURTHER EXTENDS UNDERGRADUATE REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) wishes to bring to the attention of all undergraduate students that all activities related to course registration for the current academic session will officially close on Monday, 28th July, 2025. Students, both fresh and returning are therefore strongly advised to ensure that all registration processes are completed well before the deadline, as no complaints or appeals related to registration will be entertained after the stipulated closing date.

This announcement serves as a final reminder to all concerned students to act promptly and responsibly. Failure to register within the allotted timeframe will attract serious academic consequences. In particular, any returning student who fails to complete their course registration before the closing date will be required to suspend their studies until the next academic session. The University will not make exceptions or grant special consideration to any student who misses the deadline, regardless of the reason.

In line with the University’s registration procedures, it is mandatory for every student to consult with their Level Coordinator before commencing their course registration. This initial consultation is to ensure that students are guided on the appropriate courses to register for in line with their departmental academic requirements. Similarly, students must also return to their Level Coordinators after completing the online registration for final cross-checking and validation. This is to confirm the accuracy of the registered courses and to prevent errors that could affect graduation or academic standing.

Campusinfo reports that University emphasizes that any student who fails to engage with their Level Coordinator at these two critical stages—before and after registration—shall bear full responsibility for any error made during the process. Such students will not be entitled to lodge complaints, and any requests for correction will not be entertained under any circumstance. Students are therefore advised to treat this requirement with the seriousness it deserves.

All faculties and departments have been duly informed to provide the necessary support to ensure that students comply with these directives. Students are encouraged to avoid the last-minute rush and to take advantage of the remaining days to complete their registration and seek clarification where necessary.

For further information or assistance, students are encouraged to visit their faculty offices or contact their departmental registration officers.

Please be guided accordingly.

Thank you!
