OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE-IFE [OAU] BEGINS UPLOADING OF NAMES ON JAMB CAPS FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has reportedly commenced the uploading of candidates’ names to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The development is an important step for prospective students awaiting updates on their admission status into the prestigious institution.

Candidates who selected OAU as their preferred institution are advised to monitor their JAMB CAPS accounts regularly to check for updates regarding their admission status.

What Candidates Should Know

The uploading of names to JAMB CAPS does not automatically mean that admission has been offered to every candidate. Applicants should wait for their individual admission status to be updated on the portal.

Candidates are encouraged to take the following steps:

1. Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal
2. Log in using their registered email address and password.
3. Select Check Admission Status or access the CAPS section.
4. Click on Access My CAPS to view the relevant admission information.
5. Check their admission status regularly for updates.

Candidates whose admission status has not changed should remain patient and continue monitoring the portal.

Does Uploading Names Mean Admission Is Guaranteed?

No. The uploading of candidates’ names to JAMB CAPS is not, by itself, confirmation of admission. Candidates must wait for an official admission offer to appear on their individual profiles.

Applicants should also ensure that their O’Level results have been uploaded to JAMB where required and that their admission details are accurate.
