LEAD CITY UNIVERSITY, IBADAN RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Lead City University, Ibadan, has released the Postgraduate College Academic Calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session, outlining the schedule of major academic activities for postgraduate students throughout the first and second semesters.

The calendar provides important dates for the commencement of semesters, lectures, Christmas and New Year break, resumption, revision periods, induction ceremonies and semester examinations.

FIRST SEMESTER

The first semester of the 2026/2027 academic session is scheduled to officially commence on Monday, 28th September 2026, while lectures are expected to begin on Friday, 2nd October 2026.

The Christmas and New Year break will commence on Monday, 21st December 2026 and end on Friday, 8th January 2027. Students are expected to resume from the break on Monday, 11th January 2027.

The first semester revision period is scheduled to run from Friday, 26th February to Thursday, 4th March 2027.

The first semester induction ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 3rd March 2027.

This will be followed by the first semester examinations, scheduled to hold from Friday, 5th March to Friday, 19th March 2027.

First Semester Schedule

SECOND SEMESTER

The second semester is scheduled to commence on Monday, 1st March 2027, with lectures expected to begin on Friday, 19th March 2027.

Students will enter the revision period from Friday, 2nd July to Thursday, 8th July 2027.

The second semester induction ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, 7th July 2027.

The second semester examination will subsequently hold from Friday, 9th July to Friday, 23rd July 2027.
