COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES, UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT TEACHING HOSPITAL RELEASES ND GENERAL NURSING ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the College of Nursing Sciences, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (CONS, UPTH) has announced the commencement of sales of application forms for admission into its full-time National Diploma (ND) Programme in General Nursing Science for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who meet the admission requirements for the programme.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

According to the College, candidates seeking admission into the programme must possess a Senior School Certificate (SSC) or GCE O’Level obtained from WAEC, NECO, or a combination of both.

Applicants are required to have at least five (5) credit passes in the following subjects:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics

The five required credits must be obtained at not more than two sittings.

In addition to the O’Level requirements, applicants must:

• Have a 2026 JAMB UTME score of 170 and above.
• Be at least 16 years old by September 2026.
• Have completed a change of institution on JAMB CAPS to the College of Nursing Sciences, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (CONS, UPTH).

The College stated that only candidates who have completed the required change of institution to CONS, UPTH are eligible to apply.

HOW TO APPLY FOR CONS, UPTH ND GENERAL NURSING

Eligible candidates who have changed their institution on JAMB CAPS to the College of Nursing Sciences, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital can proceed with the online application.

Step 1: Visit the Application Portal

Candidates should visit the official application portal:

Step 2: Create an Applicant Account

Click on Applicant Login to create an account.

Candidates should verify their account using the verification code sent to their email address.

Step 3: Start the Application

Sign in to the account and click on Start Application under the chosen programme.

Step 4: Enter JAMB Registration Number

Search for the applicant’s JAMB Registration Number and click Continue to proceed to payment.

Step 5: Pay the Application Fee

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦25,000.

Payment can be made online through any of the available options, including:

• Card
• Bank Transfer
• USSD
• Bank App

After completing the payment, candidates should print their Transaction Receipt.

Step 6: Complete the Application Form

Fill in the application form and upload the required documents, including:

• O’Level result(s)
• LGA identification
• Birth certificate

Step 7: Submit and Print Application Summary

After completing the form and uploading the required documents, submit the application and print the Application Summary.

Step 8: Attend the Screening Test

Candidates are required to come with the hard copy of the printed Application Summary on the date of the screening test.

The printed application summary should be submitted at the Registrar’s Office as instructed by the College.
