CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGWU OJUKWU UNIVERSITY (COOU) EXTENDS POST-UTME APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has announced important deadlines for the ongoing 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening application, urging prospective candidates to complete their registration within the stipulated period.
According to the university, the application portal for candidates seeking admission into selected regulated programmes will officially close on Friday, August 7, 2026.
Regulated Programmes Closing on August 7
Candidates applying for any of the following programmes are advised to complete their Post-UTME application before the deadline:
- Law
- Medicine and Surgery
- Nursing
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
- Medical Laboratory Science
The university emphasized that applications for these highly competitive courses will no longer be accepted after Friday, August 7, 2026.
Portal Remains Open for Other Programmes
While applications for the regulated programmes will close on August 7, the university has confirmed that the Post-UTME application portal will remain open for candidates applying for:
- All non-regulated undergraduate programmes
- Direct Entry (DE) admission
Applications for these categories will continue until Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Advice to Prospective Candidates
Candidates who selected Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are advised to complete their applications as early as possible to avoid missing the deadline.
