The management of Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, has officially released the 2026/2027 admission list for candidates who participated in the university’s admission screening exercise.

Candidates who applied for admission into the institution can now proceed to check their admission status through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

The released admission list contains the names of candidates who have been offered provisional admission into various undergraduate programmes of the university for the 2026/2027 academic session.

How to Check EBSU Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Candidates can check their admission status by following the steps below:

Step 1:

Visit the JAMB e-Facility Portal:

https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/

Step 2:

Log in using your registered email address and password.

Step 3:

Click on “Check Admission Status.”

Step 4:

Select “Access My CAPS.”

Step 5:

Click on “Admission Status” to view your admission details.

If you have been offered admission, your admission status will be displayed on the portal.

Accept or Reject Your Admission Offer

Candidates who have been offered admission are advised to immediately indicate their decision by selecting either:

• ACCEPT – to accept the admission offer.
• REJECT – if they do not wish to accept the admission offer.

Candidates should note that accepting admission on JAMB CAPS is compulsory before they can proceed with other admission and registration processes.

What If Your Admission Status Is Still Pending?

Candidates whose admission status shows:

• Admission Still in Progress
• Not Admitted

should remain calm and continue checking their JAMB CAPS regularly.

The admission exercise is still ongoing, and more admission lists are expected to be uploaded in batches.

Important Information for Admitted Candidates

Successful candidates are advised to:

• Accept their admission offer on JAMB CAPS immediately.
• Print their JAMB Admission Letter after accepting admission.
• Print their Original JAMB Result Slip if required.
• Monitor EBSU’s official communication channels for updates on acceptance fees, clearance, screening, and registration procedures.

Candidates who are still awaiting admission should ensure that their O’Level results have been uploaded on JAMB CAPS, as failure to do so may affect admission processing.
