LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY,OJO [LASU] BEGINS UPLOADING OF ADMISSION LIST ON SCHOOL PORTAL FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Lagos State University has commenced the upload of the 2026/2027 admission list on the University’s admission portal, marking another important milestone in the ongoing admission exercise.
This development brings excitement and relief to thousands of candidates who participated in the University’s admission screening process and have been eagerly awaiting updates on their admission status.
The upload of the admission list indicates that successful candidates are gradually being offered provisional admission into various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Since the upload is being carried out in batches, candidates whose names are not yet visible are advised not to panic, as additional lists are expected to be released subsequently.

What Candidates Should Do
Candidates who applied for admission into LASU are advised to regularly check the University’s admission portal to monitor their admission status. It is important to note that admission offers may appear at different times, depending on the processing stage of each applicant.
Applicants should also keep checking the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), where admission offers are officially processed before candidates can accept or reject them.
Once an admission offer appears on JAMB CAPS, candidates are expected to:
- Accept the admission if they wish to study at LASU.
- Print their JAMB Admission Letter after acceptance.
- Print their Original JAMB Result Slip.
- Follow all registration and clearance guidelines released by LASU
Failure to accept admission on JAMB CAPS within the stipulated period may affect the admission process.
Why the Admission List Is Released in Batches
Many prospective students often become anxious when the first batch of admission is released. However, it is important to understand that universities usually process admissions in phases.
Several factors determine when a candidate’s admission will appear, including:
- Verification of O’Level results.
- Programme quota and available spaces.
- Departmental admission requirements.
- Approval from JAMB.
Therefore, candidates whose admission status still shows “Not Admitted” or “Admission in Progress” should continue checking both the LASU portal and JAMB CAPS regularly.
Important Advice to Candidates
As the admission process continues, candidates should remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters who claim they can secure admission in exchange for money.
Admission into LASU is strictly based on merit, catchment considerations where applicable, and the admission guidelines approved by JAMB and the University.
Candidates are also encouraged to ensure that their O’Level results have been successfully uploaded to the JAMB portal, as failure to upload the required results may delay or prevent admission.
Congratulations to all candidates who have already been offered admission into Lagos State University for the 2026/2027 academic session.
We wish every prospective student success throughout the admission process and a rewarding academic journey at Lagos State University.
