These achievements have positioned the university as a major player in scientific research and healthcare innovation on the African continent.

VICE-CHANCELLOR HAILS THE DEVELOPMENT

Reacting to the approval, the Vice-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, expressed gratitude to God and all stakeholders who contributed to the achievement.

According to him, the approval represents the collective efforts of the university’s leadership, staff, students, parents, and supporters.

He specifically appreciated the Visitor to the University, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, for his unwavering support and commitment to the institution’s growth.

Professor Akindele also acknowledged the contributions of the university’s proprietors, Board of Trustees, Governing Council, and staff members who worked tirelessly to ensure the successful outcome of the NUC resource verification exercise.

He noted that while the approval is a significant accomplishment, it is only one step in the university’s broader vision for the future.

By expanding its healthcare programmes, Redeemer’s University is expected to contribute significantly to the training of doctors, pharmacists, dentists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals who will serve communities across Nigeria and beyond.

The move is also expected to strengthen healthcare research and innovation within the university.

LOOKING AHEAD

With the approval now secured, preparations are expected to begin in earnest for the admission of students into the newly approved programmes from the 2026/2027 academic session.

The development marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Redeemer’s University as it continues to expand its academic offerings and strengthen its reputation as a leading institution of higher learning.

For prospective students, parents, and stakeholders, the approval presents exciting new opportunities to access quality education in medicine, healthcare, engineering, and postgraduate studies within an institution known for academic excellence and godly character.
