ZAMFARA STATE UNIVERSITY (ZAMSU) RELEASES UPDATED ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all students of the Zamfara State University (ZAMSU) the the school management through its Academic Planning Division under the Office of the Vice Chancellor, has officially released the updated academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.

The comprehensive schedule outlines critical dates and durations for both the first and second semesters as follows;

Registration of New and Returning Students (1st Semester): Lasts for 6 weeks, from Monday, 3rd November 2025 to Saturday, 20th December 2025.

​Beginning of 1st Semester Lectures: Lasts for 13 weeks, from Monday, 22nd December 2025 to Saturday, 28th March 2026.

​Mid Semester Break (1st Semester): Lasts for 1 week, from Monday, 9th February 2026 to Saturday, 14th February 2026.

​Continuation of Lectures and Revision: Lasts for 6 weeks, from Monday, 16th February 2026 to Saturday, 28th March 2026.

​1st Semester Examinations: Lasts for 5 weeks, from Monday, 30th March 2026 to Saturday, 10th May 2026.

​1st Semester Break, Marking of Examinations: Lasts for 2 weeks, from Monday, 11th May 2026 to Saturday, 24th May 2026.

​2nd Semester Lectures: Lasts for 13 weeks, from Monday, 25th May 2026 to Saturday, 29th August 2026.

​Mid Semester Break (2nd Semester): Lasts for 1 week, from Monday, 13th July 2026 to Saturday, 19th July 2026.

​Continuation of Lectures: Lasts for 6 weeks, from Monday, 20th July 2026 to Saturday, 23rd August 2026.

​2nd Semester Examinations: Lasts for 3 weeks, from Monday, 31st August 2026 to Saturday, 26th September 2026.

​End of Session Break (Marking and Moderation): Lasts for 4 weeks, from Monday, 28th September 2026 to Saturday, 31st October 2026.

​Beginning of 2026/2027 Academic Session: Commences on Monday, 2nd November 2026.
