FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, DUTSIN-MA (FUDUTSINMA) RELEASES DEPARTMENTAL CUT-OFF MARKS FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDUTSINMA), Katsina State, has officially released the approved departmental cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 academic admission exercise.
The announcement serves as a guide for prospective candidates seeking admission into the University’s various undergraduate programmes through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) channels.
According to the University, candidates are expected to meet the minimum score requirements specified for their preferred courses before they can be considered for admission.
CATEGORY A: MINIMUM SCORE OF 180
Candidates seeking admission into the following faculties and programmes must obtain a minimum UTME score of 180:
- All Programmes in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology
- All Programmes in the Faculty of Nursing Sciences
- All Programmes in the Faculty of Engineering
- All Programmes in the Faculty of Law
CATEGORY B: MINIMUM SCORE OF 160
Candidates applying for the following programmes are required to score at least 160 in the 2026 UTME:
- Accounting
- Economics and Development Studies
- Political Science
- Library and Information Science
- Sociology
- Mass Communication
- Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Microbiology
CATEGORY C: MINIMUM SCORE OF 150
All programmes not listed under Categories A and B have a minimum admissible score of 150.
The University noted that this aligns with the National Policy on Admissions, which approved a minimum JAMB score of 150 for admission into Nigerian universities.
DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry must possess any of the following minimum qualifications:
- Lower Credit in National Diploma (ND) or National Innovation Diploma (NID)
- Minimum of Nine (9) Points in NCE
- Minimum of Nine (9) Points in IJMB, with at least three (3) points in each subject for programmes under the College of Health Sciences
- Minimum of Six (6) Points in IJMB, with at least one (1) point in each subject for all other programmes
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Prospective applicants are advised to carefully review the admission requirements for their chosen programmes and ensure they meet the stipulated criteria before applying.
Candidates are also encouraged to upload their O’Level results and other relevant credentials on the appropriate admission portals to facilitate seamless admission processing.
