The management of the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has officially released the approved schedule of events for the 2026/2027 admission exercise following the resolution reached at the 44th Meeting of the Central Admissions Committee held on Tuesday, 26th May, 2026.

According to the university management, the released timeline outlines important activities and deadlines that will guide the institution’s Post-UTME screening exercise, admissions processing, faculty recommendations, JAMB CAPS submissions, and fresh students’ registration process for the new academic session.

The university urged all prospective candidates seeking admission into undergraduate, diploma, remedial, and JUPEB programmes to carefully take note of the approved schedule and comply with all deadlines.

FULL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR 2026/2027 ADMISSION EXERCISE

1. Advertisement of Post-UTME Screening Exercise

• Date: Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026

The university will officially announce the commencement of the Post-UTME screening exercise and release full admission guidelines for interested candidates.

2. Opening of Post-UTME Registration Portal

• Date: Tuesday, 9th June, 2026

The online portal for Post-UTME registration and screening exercise will become accessible to eligible UTME candidates seeking admission into the institution.

3. Closing of Post-UTME Registration Portal

• Date: Sunday, 13th September, 2026

Candidates are advised to complete their registration before the portal closes, as late applications may not be entertained after the deadline.

4. Approval of Post-UTME Results and Admission Parameters

• Date: Thursday, 17th September, 2026

The Central Admissions Committee will meet to review and approve the Post-UTME screening results alongside the official admission parameters for the 2026/2027 academic session.

5. Forwarding of Screening Results to Faculties and Departments

• Date: Monday, 21st September, 2026

Approved screening results will be transmitted to various faculties and departments for admission recommendation processes.

6. Submission of Admission Recommendations

• Date: Thursday, 24th September, 2026

Faculties and departments are expected to submit their undergraduate admission recommendations as well as recommendations for Diploma, Remedial, and JUPEB programmes to the Admissions Division.

7. Approval of Departmental Admission Recommendations

• Date: Tuesday, 29th September, 2026

The Central Admissions Committee will reconvene to consider and officially approve all departmental and programme admission recommendations.

8. Upload of Admissions to JAMB CAPS

• Date: Monday, 5th October, 2026

Approved admission lists will be forwarded and uploaded to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

9. Opening of Fresh Students Registration Portal

• Date: Monday, 26th October, 2026

The online portal for newly admitted students will officially open for registration and documentation processes.

10. Resumption of Fresh Students

• Date: Monday, 2nd November, 2026

Successful candidates offered admission into the university are expected to resume academic activities for the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CANDIDATES

The university management advised all prospective students to regularly monitor the institution’s official communication channels for updates concerning Post-UTME requirements, screening procedures, admission lists, and registration guidelines.

Candidates are also encouraged to ensure that their O’Level results are properly uploaded on the JAMB CAPS portal to avoid complications during admission processing.
