Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, has officially announced the commencement of registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry admission screening exercise.

According to the university, registration for the screening exercise began on Tuesday, 26th May, 2026, and all eligible candidates are expected to complete their registration online within the approved period.

The exercise is open to qualified UTME and Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes offered by the institution.

Candidates Eligible for AAUA 2026/2027 Screening Exercise

AAUA stated that the following categories of candidates are eligible to participate in the screening exercise:

1. UTME Candidates

Candidates who:

  • Chose AAUA as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME; and
  • Scored 160 and above in the examination.

2. Direct Entry Candidates

Candidates who:

  • Selected AAUA as their first-choice institution for Direct Entry admission.

3. Change of Institution Candidates

Candidates who:

  • Sat for the 2026 UTME;
  • Scored 160 and above; and
  • Are willing to change their institution to AAUA as first choice.

The university emphasized that candidates who did not initially choose AAUA must complete a Change of Institution through JAMB CAPS before the registration deadline.

Age Requirement

AAUA announced that candidates applying for admission must:

  • Be at least 16 years old by 30th September, 2026.

Candidates who do not meet the age requirement may not be considered for admission.

Registration Fee

Eligible candidates are expected to pay a total screening fee of:

₦5,000 only

The fee covers:

  • ₦2,000 — Post-UTME Registration
  • ₦3,000 — Portal Access Fee

Payment is to be made online through the university screening portal.

How to Register for AAUA Post-UTME Screening

Candidates are required to complete registration online by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit the Screening Portal

Go to the AAUA screening portal and begin registration.

Step 2: Create an Account

Applicants should create an account using:

  • Valid JAMB Registration Number
  • Active E-mail Address

Step 3: Confirm Email Address

Candidates are expected to confirm their email by clicking the verification link sent to their inbox.

Applicants are advised to check their spam folder if the mail is not found in the inbox.

Step 4: Make Payment

After email verification:

  • Log in to the portal
  • Pay ₦5,000 via E-tranzact

Step 5: Complete Bio-data Form

Candidates should carefully fill in their:

  • Personal information
  • Academic details
  • Other required data

Step 6: Print Bio-data Slip

After completing registration, candidates should print and keep their Bio-data slip for future reference.

Important Instructions to Candidates

AAUA released several important guidelines for applicants participating in the screening exercise.

O’Level Upload Requirement

Candidates are advised to:

  • Upload correct O’Level results on the university portal.
  • Ensure that a maximum of two sittings is not exceeded.

  • WAEC
  • NECO
  • NABTEB

Awaiting Result Candidates

Candidates awaiting O’Level results may also apply.

However, they must upload their results on:

  • AAUA portal
  • JAMB CAPS

Direct Entry Requirements

AAUA accepts the following qualifications for Direct Entry admission:

  • First Degree (Second Class Lower Division)
  • ND (Upper Credit)
  • HND (Lower Credit)
  • JUPEB (6 Points)
  • NCE (8 Points)
