The Management of Ebonyi State University has officially released the proposed departmental cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 admission exercise through an internal memorandum issued from the Office of the Registrar.

According to the university, candidates seeking admission into the institution must meet both the general university benchmark and the specific departmental requirements applicable to their preferred courses of study.

The document, dated 14th May, 2026, was signed and authenticated by the Admission Officer, Izekwe Friday Innocent.

General Admission Requirements

The university announced that:

  • The minimum institutional cut-off mark for admission into Ebonyi State University is 150.
  • Candidates who scored below 150 in the 2026 UTME are not eligible for admission consideration.
  • Some highly competitive programmes require significantly higher scores due to the volume of applicants and admission competitiveness.
  • Candidates are advised to carefully compare their UTME scores with the approved departmental benchmarks before selecting courses during admission processing.

The university further noted that meeting the cut-off mark does not automatically guarantee admission, as candidates must also satisfy O’Level requirements, screening conditions, and departmental admission quotas.
