The management of Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has officially announced the resumption date for the commencement of the Second Semester of the 2025/2026 academic session. The announcement serves as an important notice to all students, academic staff, non-academic staff, parents, guardians, and members of the general public regarding the continuation of academic activities at the institution.

According to the statement released by the university administration, the Second Semester is scheduled to officially commence on Tuesday, 16th June, 2026. The management stated that all returning students are expected to resume on the announced date to ensure the smooth continuation of lectures, practical sessions, departmental activities, and other academic engagements lined up for the semester.

The university emphasized that strict adherence to the resumption schedule is necessary to maintain a stable and uninterrupted academic calendar. Students are therefore advised to make adequate preparations ahead of the resumption date to avoid unnecessary delays or inconveniences that may affect their academic progress.

Importance of Early Resumption

The university management reiterated the importance of punctuality and seriousness towards academic responsibilities. Students who resume early are expected to settle outstanding registration issues, complete departmental documentation where necessary, and prepare fully for lectures which are expected to commence immediately after resumption.

The administration also encouraged students to resume with the right mindset, discipline, and readiness to focus on their studies throughout the semester. According to the institution, maintaining consistency in attendance, participation in academic activities, and compliance with university regulations will contribute greatly to students’ overall academic success.

Lectures and Academic Activities

Following the resumption, lectures across faculties and departments are expected to begin promptly. Academic staff members have also been directed to prepare adequately for the semester to ensure that teaching and learning activities commence without delay.

Students are advised to regularly check their departmental notice boards, faculty offices, and official university communication channels for lecture timetables, examination updates, course registration information, and other important academic notices.

Laboratory practicals, seminars, workshops, assignments, and continuous assessment activities are also expected to commence as scheduled. Students are encouraged to attend all academic engagements regularly to avoid missing important coursework and instructions from lecturers.

Registration and Clearance

Returning students who are yet to complete their school fee payments or course registration processes have been urged to do so immediately upon resumption. The university management emphasized that only duly registered students will be recognized for academic activities during the semester.

Students are also advised to resolve any pending clearance or documentation issues with relevant departments and units of the university to avoid complications later in the semester.

Advice to Students

The university management used the opportunity to advise students to remain law-abiding and conduct themselves responsibly throughout the semester. Students were encouraged to avoid examination malpractice, cultism, violence, drug abuse, and any form of misconduct capable of tarnishing the image of the institution.

Students were further reminded to prioritize their safety and security while on campus and to comply with all university rules and regulations guiding student conduct.

In addition, the administration encouraged students to make proper use of university facilities such as the library, laboratories, ICT centers, and lecture halls to improve their academic performance and personal development.

Commitment of the University Management

The management of Federal University Lokoja reaffirmed its commitment to providing a conducive learning environment that supports academic excellence, innovation, and research. The institution noted that efforts are continuously being made to improve infrastructure, strengthen academic standards, and ensure effective delivery of quality education to students.

The university also appreciated members of staff and students for their cooperation and dedication towards sustaining peace and academic stability within the institution.

Call for Cooperation

Parents, guardians, and stakeholders were encouraged to support students as they prepare to return to campus for the second semester. The management stressed that cooperation from all members of the university community remains essential for the successful completion of the academic session.

Students are equally advised to stay informed through official university platforms for any additional announcements or changes concerning the semester schedule.

The management of Federal University Lokoja wishes all students and staff a productive, peaceful, and successful Second Semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.
