UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA (UNIABUJA) SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (SDC) ANNOUNCES ADMISSION INTO POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
This is to inform the general public and suitably qualified candidates that the Sustainable Development Centre (SDC) of the University of Abuja is inviting applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 Batch A, Stream 8 academic session.

Masters in Climate & Society Studies
Masters in Peace & Conflict Studies

3. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes (Full-time and Part-time)

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must fulfill the following;
O’Level: Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
First Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, not below Second-Class Honours Lower Division. For PGD, candidates with a Third-Class Degree or Higher National Diploma (Lower Credit) from a recognised institution may be admitted.
NYSC: A discharge certificate or exemption letter is required.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT FOR DOCTORATE
Doctor of Sustainable Development: Must possess a Master’s Degree in relevant fields of Science, Social and Management Science, Humanities, Education, or Environmental Science.
Duration: 36 Months.
Duration of Programmes
Master’s Degree Programme
Full-time: Minimum of four semesters; maximum of six semesters.
Part-time: Minimum of six semesters; maximum of eight semesters.
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
Full-time: Minimum of two semesters; maximum of four semesters.
Part-time: Minimum of four semesters; maximum of six semesters.
