AL-ANSAR UNIVERSITY, MAIDUGURI GETS NUC FULL ACCREDITATION FOR MBBS, NURSING AND 2 OTHER ACADEMIC PROGRAMES

Al-Ansar University Maiduguri (AUM) has achieved a landmark 100% Full Accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for all programmes assessed during the October/November 2025 Comprehensive Accreditation Exercise.

All four “Newly Matured” programmes exceeded required benchmarks and secured accreditation validity until 2030.
According to the official summary of results released by the NUC, AUM recorded 100% success, with all four (4) programmes evaluated meeting and exceeding the required standards. The accredited programmes include:

1. Medical Laboratory Science – Full
2. Nursing Science – Full
3. Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) – Full
4. Information Technology – Full

The results reflect AUM’s strong academic delivery, qualified faculty, and standard facilities in Health Sciences and Technology.

“This 100% success reflects our commitment to quality education and to producing graduates equipped to drive national development,” said Prof. Abdulrahman. She added that this brings the total number of programmes with full accreditation in the University to nineteen (19).

With this achievement, AUM strengthens its status as a growing centre of academic excellence in higher education. The Acting Vice Chancellor credited this milestone to the vision of the Founder and President, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, mni, and the dedication of the University Management and Staff.
This achievement reflects the University’s dedication to quality education and academic excellence. It also highlights the strategic direction and sustained investment in teaching, research, and professional training, particularly in the vital fields of Health Sciences and Technology.

Special commendation is extended to the Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, mni, whose vision and steady support have laid a solid foundation for the University’s growth and success.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fanna Inna Abdulrahman, also appreciated the commitment and dedication of the entire University Management and Staff, whose collective efforts have contributed significantly to this accomplishment.

With this result, AUM will continue to strengthen its position as a rising centre of academic excellence, committed to producing competent graduates equipped to contribute meaningfully to national development.
