The Management of the School of Undergraduate Studies, Adamawa State College of Education, Hong, has officially announced a shift in the commencement date for the First Semester examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session.

REASON FOR THE ADJUSTMENT

The decision to reschedule was made in consideration of the upcoming JAMB Examinations, which involve a significant segment of the student population. To prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure that all affected students can focus fully on their external exams without distraction, the college has approved a one-week extension.

REVISED EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

Students and the entire College community are advised to take note of the following changes to the academic calendar:

  • Original Commencement Date: Monday, April 20, 2026

  • New Commencement Date: Monday, April 27, 2026

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

In light of this adjustment, students are expected to adhere to the following:

  1. Adjust Study Timetables: Utilize the additional week to further prepare for all scheduled papers.

  2. Monitor Official Channels: Regularly check departmental notice boards for updated course-specific examination timetables, as the sequence of papers may have been adjusted to fit the new start date.

  3. JAMB Candidates: Students participating in the JAMB exams are encouraged to prioritize their external examinations while staying mindful of the internal college exams beginning immediately afterward.

CONCLUSION: ENSURING ACADEMIC EQUITY

This strategic move by the College Management is aimed at fostering a supportive academic environment and ensuring that no student is disadvantaged due to overlapping national educational schedules. The College wishes all students success in both their external and internal examinations.

Please be guided accordingly.

Signed: Yurama D. Terrang DR/Secretary, Undergraduate Studies
