he University Senate has formally ratified and published the Revised Academic Calendar for the second semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Session. Students are advised to take note of these dates to ensure proper academic planning and avoid any administrative lapses.

PHASE 1: RESUMPTION AND SEMESTER KICK-OFF

Following the first-semester break, the university will transition into the second half of the academic year with the following key dates:

• Current First-Semester Holiday: Friday, 3rd April – Friday, 17th April, 2026.

• Official Resumption (On-Campus): Sunday, 19th April, 2026.

• Commencement of Lectures: Monday, 20th April, 2026.

• Senate Consideration (1st Semester Results): Wednesday, 29th April, 2026.

PHASE 2: ACADEMIC DELIVERY AND REVISION

The core teaching period of the semester is scheduled to run for approximately three months, providing ample time for the completion of the syllabus and practical coursework.

• Lecture Conclusion: Friday, 17th July, 2026.

• Revision Week: Monday, 20th July – Friday, 24th July, 2026.

  Note: This week is dedicated to self-study and consultation with lecturers; no new topics are to be introduced.

PHASE 3: EXAMINATIONS AND RESULTS

The assessment phase for the second semester will be conducted rigorously over a three-week window to ensure a smooth transition for all departments.

• Examination Commencement: Monday, 27th July, 2026.

• Examination Conclusion: Friday, 14th August, 2026.
