USMAN DANFODIYO UNIVERSITY, SOKOTO (UDUS?) RESCHEDULES MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The Management is pleased to formally notify all staff, students, and the general university community that the Matriculation Ceremony for the newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been officially scheduled. This ceremony represents the formal induction of fresh students into the university, where they will take the statutory oath of allegiance to the institution.
Ceremony Details
Date: Wednesday, 4th March 2026
Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
Venue: University Convocation Square (Main Campus)
All matriculating students are expected to be fully seated by 9:30 AM to allow for the commencement of the academic procession.
Directives for Preparations
In light of this announcement, all relevant departments and units are kindly requested to commence immediate preparations to ensure a seamless and successful event.
1. For Faculty Officers and Departments
Notification: Ensure that all newly admitted students within your jurisdiction are formally notified of the date and the requirements for participation.
Regalia Distribution: Facilitate the process for the collection and return of academic gowns by the students.
Matriculation Register: Prepare the official register to be signed by students after the oath-taking ceremony.
2. For Matriculating Students
Registration Status: Only students who have completed their online registration and physical clearance are eligible to participate.
Academic Gowns: Students should proceed to their respective Faculty Offices to pick up their matriculation gowns upon presentation of proof of payment.
Orientation: Students are encouraged to revisit the guidelines provided during the orientation exercise to understand the significance of the matriculation oath.
