JIMOH BABA LOLA UNIVERSITY (JBU) ANNOUNCES DE ADMISSION INTO COMMUNITY HEALTH SCIENCE FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Management of Jimoh Babalola University (JBU), Ilorin, is pleased to announce that applications are now officially open for the Bachelor of Community Health Science (BCHS) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session. In a strategic move to strengthen the Nigerian healthcare sector, JBU is offering a specialized Direct Entry pathway into the 200 Level. This initiative is specifically designed for practicing healthcare professionals—including Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) and National Diploma (ND) holders—who wish to upgrade their clinical expertise and academic credentials to a full university degree.
JBU, a newly established private institution in Kwara State, is committed to producing a new generation of clinical experts and community health leaders. By bypassing the 100-level foundational year, qualified candidates can transition seamlessly into advanced clinical studies, significantly reducing their time to graduation while maintaining the highest standards of medical education.
Eligibility and Admission Prerequisites
To ensure that the cohort maintains a high level of academic and professional competence, the university has set the following mandatory requirements:
Academic Foundations (O’Level)
Prospective students must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in the core science subjects. These credits must include:

-
Biology
These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings from recognized examination bodies such as WASSCE, NECO, or NABTEB.

-
ND Community Health Graduates: Must provide an official National Diploma Certificate or a valid Statement of Result from an accredited institution.
-
CHEW Professionals: Must possess a Valid Professional License from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).
Hostel Facilities and Campus Life
Jimoh Babalola University is a fully residential institution, meaning all students are required to live on campus.
