LANDMARK UNIVERSITY (LU) ANNOUNCES MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The Management of Landmark University is filled with joy as they invite everyone—students, parents, teachers, and friends of education—to a very special day. It is time for the 16th Matriculation Ceremony!

This is a day of bright smiles and big dreams. For the new students, it is the official “Welcome to the Family” moment. For the university, it is a time to celebrate a new group of future leaders who are ready to change the world.

When and Where Will it Happen?

To make sure you don’t miss any of the music, the speeches, or the special parade, make sure you mark your calendar with these details:

• The Date: Friday, 6th February 2026.

• The Time: 09:00 a.m. Prompt (This means you should be in your seat early!).

• The Venue: The University Chapel, Landmark University, Omu-Aran.

The University Chapel is a beautiful and peaceful place. It is the heart of the campus, making it the perfect spot to start your new life as a university student.

What is a Matriculation Ceremony?

If you are a new student, you might wonder why everyone is so excited. A matriculation ceremony is like a “Grand Opening” for your education.

During the ceremony, you will wear a special long robe called an academic gown. You will stand up with your classmates and take a special oath. By taking this oath, you are promising to follow the rules of the school and to work very hard on your studies. Once the ceremony is over, you are officially a “Landmarker”!

This is the 16th time Landmark University has held this ceremony. Over the years, thousands of students have stood where you are standing today. 1. Arrive Early: Since the ceremony starts at 9:00 a.m., try to get to the Chapel by 8:30 a.m. This gives you time to find a seat and relax.

2. Wear Your Gown with Pride: Your academic gown shows everyone that you have worked hard to get into this university. Make sure it is clean and neat!

3. Charge Your Camera: Your parents and friends will want to take many pictures of you. Make sure your phone or camera is ready for all the memories.

4. Invite Your Family: This is a big achievement! Landmark University loves to see parents and guardians “grace the occasion” to cheer you on.
