The Matriculation Committee of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) is delighted to announce the official commencement of the 2025/2026 Academic Session Matriculation Ceremony. This significant rite of passage marks the formal induction of newly admitted students into the university’s scholarly community.
Whether you are based at the Gadau or Yuli campus, this ceremony serves as your official “welcome home” and the point at which you transition from being an applicant to a recognized member of this prestigious institution.
Ceremony Schedule: Dual-Campus Celebration
To accommodate our diverse student body, SAZU will host the ceremony simultaneously across both major campuses.

Academic Gown: Guidelines and Procurement
The academic gown is a symbol of your affiliation with the university. All “freshers” are required to wear the official SAZU regalia for the ceremony. Please follow these specific steps to secure yours:
1. Payment Details

Fee: ₦1,000 (Non-refundable).

Method: All payments must be processed via Remita.

Receipt: Ensure you print and save your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) receipt after payment.
2. Collection Process

Students must present their original Remita receipt at their respective Faculty or designated collection point.

Check the gown for any damages before leaving the collection point, as you will be held responsible for its condition upon return.
Stewardship of University Property: Return Policy
The University expects all students to act with integrity regarding the care and timely return of academic materials.

Return Deadline: On or before Friday, 30th January 2026.

Return Location: You must return your gown to the exact point where you collected it.

Condition: Gowns should be clean and folded.

Penalty Notice for Late Return
The University has established a strict penalty for late returns. Any student who fails to return their gown by the close of business on Friday, January 30th, will be charged a late fee of ₦5,000. Avoid this unnecessary expense by returning your gown promptly after the ceremony.
Significance of the Matriculation Ceremony
For the newly admitted student, matriculation is a legal and academic milestone. It involves two primary components:
