Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has officially announced the reopening of its course registration portal for the 2025/2026 academic session. This announcement is aimed at enabling students to complete their course registration ahead of the first semester examinations.

The notice was contained in an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated Monday, 12th January 2026. The reopening was approved by the Vice-Chancellor, demonstrating the university’s commitment to providing students with ample opportunity to register and prepare for the semester.

The course registration portal will be open for a two-week period:

  • Start Date: Monday, 12th January 2026

  • End Date: Sunday, 25th January 2026

Late Registration Window

Students who fail to complete their registration within the initial two-week period will have a late registration window, which carries a penalty:

  • Late Registration Period: Monday, 26th January – Thursday, 12th February 2026

Students who do not register even within this late window will lose the opportunity to register for the first semester, as the portal will be permanently closed on Friday, 13th February 2026.
