ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AJD TECHNOLOGY (ESUT) EXTENDS STUDENTS’ VERIFICATION AND REGISTRATION FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has announced an extension of the deadline for the verification and registration of students for the current academic session.
According to the new directive, both newly admitted and continuing students now have until Friday, January 16, 2026, to complete their verification and registration processes.
This decision was taken to give more students enough time to meet the university’s registration requirements.
Reason for the Extension
The extension followed a report submitted by the Taskforce on Registration of Students. The report revealed that as of December 19, 2025, the level of compliance among students was still very low.
According to the report:
-
Only 50 percent of newly admitted students had completed their registration
-
Less than 10 percent of continuing students had complied with the registration requirements
Based on these figures, the university management decided to extend the deadline to allow more students complete the process.
Official Statement from the Registrar
The extension was officially announced in a memorandum issued by the Registrar, Mr. Ambrose G. Ugwu.
In the memo, the Registrar explained that the decision was made to:
-
Help students who are yet to complete their registration
-
Ensure that no eligible student is unnecessarily affected
-
Improve overall compliance with registration requirements
However, he also issued a strong warning to students.
Warning to Students
The Registrar made it clear that the new deadline is final.
According to the memo:
-
Any student who fails to verify and register on or before Friday, January 16, 2026, will face appropriate sanctions
-
The nature of the sanctions will be determined by the University Management
Students are therefore strongly advised to take advantage of this extension and complete their registration without delay.
Directive to University Officials
To ensure smooth implementation of the directive, the Registrar instructed the following university officials to ensure full compliance:
-
Deans
-
Heads of Departments
-
Faculty Officers
-
ICT Faculty Representatives
-
Admission and Registration Officers
These officers are expected to guide students, monitor progress, and ensure that all eligible students complete their verification and registration within the extended period.

Act promptly
-
Avoid waiting until the last minute
-
