Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences (AKSCONS) Releases 2025/2026 Admission List

The management of the Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences (AKSCONS) has officially announced the release of the 2025/2026 academic session admission list. This marks another milestone in the institution’s commitment to training competent and compassionate health professionals to serve across Nigeria and beyond.

According to the official statement from the College, prospective students can now check their admission status via the College’s website. The announcement brings great excitement to many aspiring nurses who have been eagerly awaiting confirmation of their admission into one of the leading nursing institutions in the country.

How to Check Admission Status

The management advises all applicants to carefully follow the steps below to confirm their admission status:

  1. Visit the official AKSCONS website: www.akscons.edu.ng

  2. Click on the “Check Admission List” button.

  3. Select your preferred campus — as chosen during your application process.

  4. Browse through the list to find your name under the corresponding campus.

  5. If your name is not on any campus list, proceed to check the Floating List section.

The portal is now fully active and accessible to all candidates, ensuring transparency and ease in verifying admission results.

Understanding the Floating List

The Floating List section is specifically for successful candidates whose admission details are not yet reflected on the JAMB CAPS portal. This situation often arises due to one of the following reasons:

  • The candidate did not complete the Change of Institution process on JAMB.

  • The candidate did not initially select Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences (AKSCONS) as their first choice during UTME registration.

These candidates are strongly advised to visit the Admissions Office at the main campus (Ikot Ekpene) for verification and further guidance on the next steps.

Next Steps for Successfully Admitted Candidates

Candidates who find their names on the admission list—either under their chosen campus or on the floating list—are required to follow the outlined steps to secure their admission fully:

  1. Accept the Admission on JAMB CAPS:
Starting from Tuesday, 11th November 2025, all admitted candidates must log in to their JAMB portal and click Accept Admission to officially confirm their offer.

  2. Obtain Your Provisional Admission Letter:
Within 48 hours of acceptance, a provisional admission letter will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address or made available through the college portal.

  3. Pay the Acceptance Fee:
Each admitted student must pay a non-refundable acceptance fee through the College portal to validate their provisional admission. Payment details and instructions are clearly stated on the website.

  4. Download and Print the Official Admission Letter:
Upon successful payment of the acceptance fee, candidates can print their official admission letter. This document serves as evidence of admission and will be required during registration.

  5. Pay School Fees and Complete Registration:
Candidates are advised to proceed immediately to pay their school fees and complete their registration as directed on the College portal.

  6. Prepare for Resumption:
The resumption date will be clearly stated in each student’s admission letter. Candidates are encouraged to begin preparations early and ensure they meet all registration and accommodation requirements.

For Candidates on the Floating List

Candidates whose names appear on the Floating List are to report in person at the Admissions Office, Main Campus (Ikot Ekpene) on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, starting from 9:00 a.m.

During the visit, such candidates will be guided on how to regularize their admission status, including completing any pending Change of Institution process and verifying their credentials.

It is important that candidates bring along the following documents for verification:

  • A copy of their JAMB result slip

  • O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent)

  • Application acknowledgment slip

  • Any relevant admission correspondence from AKSCONS

Failure to appear for verification within the stated period may result in forfeiture of the provisional offer.

Important Deadlines and Guidelines

The management emphasizes that all admission processes must be completed within two (2) weeks from the date of receiving the provisional admission letter.

Any admitted candidate who fails to meet this deadline—by not accepting the offer, paying the acceptance fee, or completing registration—risks losing the admission automatically.

All applicants are also advised to provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers, as the College will use these channels for official communication and updates regarding registration, orientation, and resumption.
