The management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has officially announced the release of its Supplementary Admission List (Batch C) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This release comes after the successful completion of the institution’s comprehensive screening exercise, which involved physical screening, biometric enrollment, and ranking of candidates based on their JAMB UTME scores and other relevant admission criteria.

According to the official statement from the university, the admission list contains the names of UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who have been offered provisional admission into various degree programmes across all faculties and departments for the 2025/2026 academic session.

How to Check Admission Status

All candidates whose names appear on the IAUE Supplementary Admission List (Batch C) are advised to check the university’s official website to confirm their admission status and to view the clearance requirements and registration procedures.

Candidates can also confirm their admission status via the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). The JAMB CAPS remains the primary platform through which all tertiary institution admissions are verified and accepted.

To check admission on JAMB CAPS, candidates should:

1. Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng.

2. Log in using their email address and password.

3. Click on “Check Admission Status”.

4. Select “Access my CAPS” to view their current admission offer.

5. Accept or reject the admission offer when it appears.

Candidates are strongly advised to accept the admission on CAPS as soon as possible, as failure to do so may lead to forfeiture of the offer.

Alternative Method: SMS Confirmation

Candidates can also confirm their admission status via SMS.

To do this:

1. On the phone number linked to your JAMB profile, type:

   [Your JAMB Registration Number] [space] ACCEPT


   Example:
   202551991244FA ACCEPT

2. Send the message to 55019 or 66019.

3. Wait for a confirmation SMS containing your admission details and status.

After receiving confirmation, candidates should proceed to print out both their JAMB Admission Letter and UTME Result Slip in coloured format, as these documents will be required for clearance.

Acceptance Fee Payment and Clearance Procedures

All newly admitted candidates are required to pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee to formally indicate their interest in taking up the admission offer.

According to IAUE management, payment of the Acceptance Fee commenced on Wednesday, 17th September 2025. Candidates should log in to the IAUE student portal to make their payments and complete the online registration process.

Payment should be made only through the official IAUE portal to avoid fraudulent transactions. The university will not be responsible for any payments made through unauthorized channels.

Upon payment, candidates must:

• Print out their Acceptance Fee Receipt.

• Proceed to their respective Faculties and Departments for physical verification and clearance.

• Submit all required credentials, including:

  • Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

  • JAMB Admission Letter

  • WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Result(s)

  • UTME Result Slip

  • Local Government Identification Letter

  • Passport photographs

Departmental and Faculty Clearance

The clearance exercise officially began on Monday, 22nd September 2025, and will last for four weeks from the date of publication of the admission list.

This means that all clearance processes must be completed on or before Friday, 21st November 2025.

Any candidate who fails to complete their clearance and registration within this period will automatically forfeit the admission offered, and such vacancies may be given to other qualified candidates waiting for supplementary lists.

Important Notice for Candidates Not Yet Admitted

The management of IAUE has advised candidates who have not yet been admitted not to panic.

According to the university, the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for IAUE’s 2025/2026 admission cycle is still active, and more candidates will be considered for admission as JAMB approves additional batches.

Here are key reminders for such candidates:

1. Verify O’Level Upload:

   • Log into JAMB eFacility.

   • Click “Check Admission Status” → “Access my CAPS”.

   • Ensure your O’Level results are properly uploaded.

   • Candidates with “Awaiting Result” status will not be processed for admission.

2. Monitor CAPS Frequently:

   • Check CAPS regularly to see when you are recommended or offered admission.

3. Transfer of Programme Option:

   • Some candidates may be offered admission into a different course from their initial choice.

   • If this happens, log into CAPS and click on the “Transfer Approval” link to accept or reject the new course.

4. Use Chrome Browser:

   • If checking CAPS on a mobile phone, switch to Desktop Mode to view all admission details.

   • If you only see “Welcome” without other options, you are not in desktop mode.

Ongoing Admission Opportunities

The university further revealed that admissions are still ongoing for several categories of candidates, including:

• UTME (Supplementary List D and E)

• Direct Entry (DE)

• JUPEB and Basic Studies Programmes

Prospective students in these categories are encouraged to stay updated by visiting the IAUE website and the official university social media handles for subsequent admission lists.
