OSUN STATE UNIVERSITY (UNIOSUN) RELEASES SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION LIST II FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has officially released the supplementary admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session. This announcement brings great excitement to many candidates who took part in the university’s Post-UTME screening exercise but were yet to secure a place in the earlier admission batches.

According to the notice published by the institution, the supplementary list contains the names of additional candidates who have been offered provisional admission into various undergraduate degree programmes across the six campuses of the University.

All applicants who participated in the 2025/2026 admission screening are therefore advised to check their admission status immediately through the official UNIOSUN Undergraduate Admission Portal at https://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng.

How to Check Admission Status

Candidates can confirm their admission by logging into the Undergraduate Admissions portal using their JAMB Registration Number and password. Upon successful login, candidates will see one of the following admission messages:

  • “Congratulations! You have been offered Provisional Admission into Osun State University.”

  • Or “Admission still in progress, please check back later.”

Those who have been offered admission should proceed immediately to accept the offer and make the necessary payments as outlined by the University.

The management emphasizes that checking admission status via the university portal remains the only official and valid channel. Applicants are strongly warned to avoid third parties, agents, or unauthorized individuals who claim to have influence over the admission process.

Acceptance Fee Payment Details

All successfully admitted candidates are required to pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000.00) only. This payment confirms their willingness to accept the provisional admission offered by the University.

The University further stated that payment of the Acceptance Fee must be done strictly through the UNIOSUN Remita payment platform. Candidates can access the payment platform by logging into their individual admission profiles on the official UNIOSUN admission portal.

Payments are to be made using internet-enabled debit or ATM cards — specifically Verve, Visa, or MasterCard. Candidates who do not have personal cards are advised to make payments using their parents’ or guardians’ cards, but must ensure the transaction is done directly through the official portal to avoid complications.

Deadline for Acceptance Fee Payment

The University has fixed Thursday, 31st October 2025, as the final deadline for the payment of the acceptance fee.

All newly admitted students are therefore expected to complete the payment and other initial registration formalities on or before the deadline.

Management has made it clear that any candidate who fails to pay the Acceptance Fee and complete the online registration on or before the deadline will automatically forfeit the provisional admission offer.

This forfeiture will make the admission slot available to other qualified candidates on the waiting list. Hence, newly admitted students are strongly urged to act promptly and complete their payment without delay.

Next Steps After Payment

After making the acceptance fee payment, candidates are to proceed with the following steps:

  1. Print the Acceptance Receipt and Admission Letter from the portal.

  2. Complete the online registration by providing accurate bio-data and uploading all required credentials such as:

    • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age

    • Local Government Identification Letter

    • Original and Photocopies of O’Level Results

    • JAMB Result Slip

    • Passport Photograph (recent and clear)

  3. Proceed to the physical clearance exercise at the respective college or faculty where they have been admitted.

  4. Pay the necessary school fees and complete course registration to officially become a bonafide student of the University.

The University also stated that information on resumption dates, academic calendar, and orientation programmes will be communicated to all newly admitted students in due course through the University website and official social media handles.

University Management’s Message

In an official statement, the management of Osun State University congratulated all candidates who made it to the supplementary admission list.

“The release of this supplementary list marks another milestone in our effort to give every qualified candidate a fair chance at securing admission into our institution. We warmly welcome all newly admitted students and wish them a successful academic journey ahead,” the statement read.

The University reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, merit, and excellence in the admission process. It also encouraged all admitted students to maintain discipline, uphold the university’s core values, and take full advantage of the learning opportunities available at UNIOSUN.

Important Caution to Applicants

The University used the opportunity to remind the general public and prospective students that admission processes in UNIOSUN are completely merit-based and transparent.

The management warned candidates to beware of fraudulent individuals who promise to influence admissions in exchange for money.

“No staff or agent is authorized to collect money from candidates for admission purposes. The only recognized payment platform for all fees is the UNIOSUN Remita system accessible through our official website,” the management emphasized.

Candidates are encouraged to always verify any admission-related information through the official website: https://www.uniosun.edu.ng or the admission portal: https://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng.

What to Expect Next

Following the completion of the acceptance and clearance processes, the University will announce the matriculation ceremony date for all newly admitted students. The matriculation formally marks the beginning of a student’s academic journey at UNIOSUN and grants them full rights as students of the institution.

The management has assured that all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth transition for the incoming students. Academic activities for the 2025/2026 session are expected to begin soon after the clearance exercise.

Final Reminder

All newly admitted candidates are therefore advised to:

  • Check their admission status immediately via the official UNIOSUN portal.

  • Pay their acceptance fee of ₦50,000 through the approved Remita platform only.

  • Complete all registration requirements before October 31, 2025.

Failure to meet these requirements will lead to automatic forfeiture of admission — and such candidates will have no further claim to the offer.
