UNIVERSITY OF UYO (UNIUYO) RELEASES SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION


The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has officially announced the commencement of its supplementary admission exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. This opportunity is open to candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB UTME and took part in the university’s Post-UTME screening but were not offered admission in their initial first-choice courses.

This announcement provides a second chance for qualified candidates to gain admission into the university through alternative but related programmes based on their UTME subject combinations and O’Level qualifications. The management emphasized that interested applicants must strictly follow the instructions and meet the necessary academic requirements to be considered.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the UNIUYO 2025/2026 supplementary admission exercise, candidates must:

  • Have scored 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB UTME.

  • Have registered and participated in the university’s post-UTME screening exercise.

  • Have not yet gained admission in their initial programme of choice.

  • Ensure that their new course aligns with correct UTME subject combinations and O’Level requirements.

  • Upload valid O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) on JAMB CAPS.

  • Be ready to change their course on the official JAMB portal within the approved timeframe.

🔄 Supplementary Admission – Change of Course Window

The university has announced the official period for Change of Course on JAMB Portal:

📅 Opening Date: Monday, 20th October 2025
📅 Closing Date: Sunday, 26th October 2025

Candidates MUST complete their course changes within this one-week deadline. Failure to do so will lead to automatic disqualification from the supplementary admission process.


📝 Procedure for Application

Eligible candidates are required to complete the following steps:

  1. Visit the JAMB Portal at www.jamb.gov.ng and apply for a Change of Course to their preferred supplementary programme listed above.

  2. Upload valid O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) to the JAMB CAPS platform if not already done.

  3. Monitor their admission status regularly on JAMB CAPS and accept the admission immediately once offered.

  4. Keep records of all confirmation slips and payment receipts.


⚠️ Important Warnings

  • Candidates who fail to accept their admission within one week of its offer will automatically have their admission cancelled and be tagged “refusal to accept” on JAMB CAPS.

  • UNIUYO does not work with admission agents. Admission is strictly merit-based and handled by authorized university officials only.

  • Any payment to individuals for admission assistance is at the applicant’s own risk.

  • Only candidates who meet the right subject combinations and departmental cut-off points will be considered.
