The Lagos State University of Science and Technology is pleased to announce the commencement of the State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE) for the 2025/2026 admission exercise. This exercise is specifically for candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State and have chosen Lagos State University of Science and Technology as their first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) with a minimum score of 195 and Direct Entry applicants.

About the SOVE

The SOVE is a verification exercise designed to confirm the state of origin of candidates who have applied for admission into the Lagos State University of Science and Technology. The exercise is a requirement for candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State and wish to benefit from the state’s quota in the admission process.

How to Apply

To participate in the SOVE, candidates are required to make a payment of Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000.00) only to Lagos State University of Science and Technology through the designated link.

Important Dates

The SOVE Registration Exercise will start on Monday, 30th June, 2025, and close on Friday, 18th July, 2025. The Verification Interview will run from Monday, 21st July, 2025, to Friday, 26th July, 2025. The interview date for each candidate will be specified on the application form.

What to Note

It is essential to note that the SOVE does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into the Lagos State University of Science and Technology. Only candidates who are cleared by the State of Origin Verification Committee (SOVC) will be eligible to process their POST UTME Screening forms.
