COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES, MAIDUGURI RELEASES ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Admission Notice for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The College of Nursing Sciences, Maiduguri, Borno State, is pleased to announce that applications are now open for admission into the following programs for the 2025/2026 academic session:

1. *National Diploma (ND) in Nursing*: This program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent nurses.

2. *Community Nursing Program*: This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver nursing care in community settings.

3. *Community Midwifery Program*: This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver midwifery care in community settings.

4. *Re-training Community Nursing*: This program is designed for licensed community nurses who want to update their knowledge and skills.

5. *Re-training Community Midwifery*: This program is designed for licensed community midwives who want to update their knowledge and skills.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission into any of the programs, candidates must:

– Possess five credits in O’level at not more than two (2) sittings, which shall include Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

– WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate (SAISSCE) results are accepted.

– Candidates with awaiting results are not eligible.

– NABTEB result can only be combined with another NABTEB result to make up for deficits in the required subjects.

Additional Requirements for National Diploma (ND) in Nursing

– Candidates must have sat for the 2025 JAMB examination with relevant subjects (Biology, Chemistry, English, and Physics) and scored not less than 180.

Additional Requirements for Re-training Community Nursing and Community Midwifery

– Candidates must have a valid practicing license as a licensed community nurse or community midwife.

Sale of Admission Form

The sale of admission forms commences on Wednesday, July 3, 2025, and closes on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Entrance Examination

The entrance examination will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 7:00 AM in the College of Nursing auditorium.

Age Requirement

Candidates must not be less than 17 years old at the time of purchasing the form.

Method of Application

To apply, follow these steps:

1. Pay a non-refundable fee of ten thousand naira (₦10,000) into the College of Nursing Sciences account via REMITA.

2. Submit evidence of payment to the College Bursary Department.

3. Submit a copy of the printout form to the College administrative office and obtain an examination card one week before the entrance examination.

4. Visit and follow the instructions.
