3 Uniport Students killed and Buried in a Shallow Grave

Three undergraduate students of University of Port Harcourt, (UNIPORT) were abducted and killed by a kidnap gang in Eleme local government area of Rivers state

The 400 level students identified as Joy Adoki, Nelson Nwafor and Fortune Obimba were declared missing by the police on April 19 after Adoki’s brother filed a complaint at eleme police station. The victims were reportedly kidnaped on April 7, 2020, after one Bright told the kidnapers that the victims betrayed him after paying money into the account of one of them.

It was also gathered that, the kidnapers contacted the family of the victims days after they disappeared and demanded for a ransom which was paid. Despite the payment, the kidnapers failed to release them as promised, but instead killed and buried them.

Their decomposed bodies were recovered from a shallow grave in Etoo, Eleme Local Government area of Rivers state, after the arrest of the gang members.
