COVID-19: UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN (UI) ORDERS CLOSURE OF VARSITY INDEFINITELY, COMMENCES VIRTUAL CLASSES

Following the Reported Increase in the rate of covid-19 infection among students in the college of Medicine,University of Ibadan who are resident in the Alexandra brown Hall (ABH),the college expanded executive committee convened an emergency virtual meeting on Saturday,18 December,2021 at 8pm to discuss the situation and make recommendation to the Vice-chancellor.

Upon receipt of the recommendations the Vice-chancellor convened an Emergency meeting on Wednesday,22 December,2021 and the following decisions were taken for immediate implementation:

All physical Academic activities should cease with immediate effect until further notice.All Academic Session should immediately proceed to virtual mode until further notice (The situation will be reviewed regularly).

The Management of the Alexandra brown Hall (ABH) will immediately Commence Risk accessment and Screening of all residents students.

Students are encouraged to proceed home for the festive season to decongest the hall.

Arrangements are being put in place to isolate students who are covid-19 positive and provide treatment to those who are symptomatic.

Kindly give immediate effect to all Decisions.

The Federal University Dutse Open 2021 post-UTME Online Screening Exercise commences from Thursday, December 23, 2021 to Friday, January 21st, 2022.

GUIDELINES FOR FEDERAL UNIVERSITY DUTSE ONLINE SCREENING EXERCISE

1. Visit www.putme.fud.edu.ng and login with your JAMB NUMBER as Username and STATE OF ORIGIN as Password

2. Update date of birth, email, phone number, state / L.G.A as it is on the UTME/DE Registration Slip

3. Generate Invoice and Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR Number)

4. Use the RRR Number to pay N2,000 UTME/ DE Online Screening fee using any acceptable debit card or pay at any Commercial Bank nationwide, including FUD Microfinance Bank

5. Update O’Level results (not more than two sittings) as well as A‘level results where applicable

6. Scan and update genuine and authentic copy of O’Level/A’Level results and recent passport photograph

7. Print Acknowledgment Slip
