COVENANT UNIVERSITY BEGINS TO SCHEDULE EXAMINATION DATE FOR 2021 POST UTME CANDIDATES


The examination to hold online and physical at the University environment, candidates are to select that which is suitable for them.

To select your examination date, log on to your examination portal, https://admportal.covenantuniversity.edu.ng  selectt book exam.

you are to provide a working email and enter the verification code sent.

Online Screening Steps

  • Kindly note the following steps in preparation for the online screening:
  • The online screening and oral interview holds Mondays to Fridays between 8am and 3 pm.
  • The recommended application for connection is ZOOM, and it is downloadable by clicking here
  • The recommended browser is google chrome and it is downloadable by clicking here.
  • Install the Zoom software on your system prior to the day of your exam.
  • The only recommended device for this screening is a computer system e.g. Laptop with webcam or desktop with webcam. Other gadgets such as Phones, Tablet, IPad or IPod are not allowed.
  • Use of Earpiece is compulsory for the screening.
  • Applicants are to make use of the calculator on the computer system only.
  • Ensure that you test your system microphone, webcam and earpiece to be sure they are working perfectly before the day of the screening.
  • You are to be seated and get set for the screening at least 30 minutes before the booked time.
  • You will receive an email 30 minutes
  • before the commencement of the screening for instruction and also the conference link from [email protected]

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection for the e-screening
  • During the screening process, ensure your system or the webcam does not go off or disconnected to avoid disqualification. In other word, ensure your system is fully charged before sitting for the screening.

NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL 2021 BAR PART I APPLICATION COMMENCES SEPTEMBER


The Council of Legal Education has announced that applications for the Nigerian Law School Bar Part 1 Admission for 2021/2022 academic session will commence on September 23, 2021.

This is contained in a Notice signed by Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, E. O. Max-Uba (Mrs.).

The Notice states that the program is open to graduates of the law of common law countries, whose law courses have been approved by the council of legal education. Degrees obtained through part-time, long-distance learning or study as an external student are not recognized for admission to this program.

Prospective applicants are to visit the Nigerian Law School website: www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng Follow the instructions, complete the forms and submit same online.

Thereafter, a copy of each of the completed forms A2, B, B1, and B2 should be downloaded and forwarded to the Nigerian Law School. No payment for application is required.

Downloaded Application documents are to be returned to the Nigerian Law School on or before Friday, October 13, 2021.

Applicants are enjoined to ensure that original Academic transcripts and References are received directly from their Universities and Employers on or before Friday, October 25, 2021. Please note that late submission of application documents will not be entertained.

Applicants are to also note their Application Numbers, for access to their admission status subsequently.

This is to inform the public that the Edwin Clark University has announced sales of post-UTME/DE admission form for the 2021/2022 academic session. Interested applicants are to proceed to apply. see details below;

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Candidates must have participated in the 2021/2022 UTME and have met JAMB’s minimum requirements.
  • Must have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/NECO (SSCE)/GCE O’LEVEL or its equivalent.
  • The required credit passes must include English language and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.
  • Direct entry admission is available into 200 level in all programmes.
  • Candidate for direct entry are required to obtained JAMB direct entry forms and possess any of the following qualifications.
  • JUPEB/GCE Advanced level passes in relevant subjects
  • OND/NCE with minimum grade of upper credit/credit respectively
  •  All direct entry candidates, in addition to the above, must satisfy the O’ level requirements as appropriate

AUCHI POLYTECHNIC BANS ENTRY OF STUDENTS’ CARS INTO THE CAMPUS


Management has received disturbing reports on the reckless driving of cars on campus by students.

They drive against traffic rules, park cars on designated official car lots for staff, and speed across bumps with reckless abandonment, thereby, endangering the lives and property of both staff and students on campus.

Management seriously frowns at this ugly trend, which is increasing by the day and has therefore, decided to put an end to it forthwith.

Consequently, Management has hereby directed that all cars belonging to students should be banned from entering into the campus henceforth, till the end of the ongoing examinations.

Only staff and students riding on their personal or commercial motor-cycles, with proper identification, would be allowed into the campus.

Also, visitors that have official business to transact on campus, would be allowed access with their vehicles, after proper identification.

VIDEO: SOLDIER CAUGHT ON CAMERA BATHING NYSC MEMBER WITH UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE IN CALABAR


A female Army officer identified as Lt. Chika Viola Anele, has been caught on camera punishing a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ezeiruaku Ifeyinwa Fidelia in Cross River after having an argument.

Nigerian journalist, Agba Jalingo, who shared the video on Thursday said the incident happened at the 13 Brigade headquarters in Calabar.

In the video, the officer is seen pouring unknown white substance on the kneeling Corps member after which she hit her with the bowl.

“JusticeForIfenyinwa. This is what a commissioned female Army officer, Lt. Chika Viola Anele, did to a youth corp member, Ezeiruaku Ifeyinwa Fidelia, serving at the 13 Brigade headquarters in Calabar after having an argument. We understand that the leadership in 13 Brigade are working to kill the matter. Let us make the officer very popular for all the wrong reasons. Share the video until it gets to the Chief of Army Staff and that Chika girl is brought to book.”

I READ 17 HOURS DAILY SAYS UNIZIK GRADUATE WHO GRADUATED WITH 4.87 CGPA


Oluebube Miracle Alphonsus Okoye emerged as the 2020/2021 overall best graduating student from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) with a CGPA of 4.87.

Okoye was the cynosure of all eyes amongst 118 graduands at the oath-taking/induction ceremony organised by the institution in collaboration with the Pharmacists’ Council of Nigeria (PCN) which was held at the JUHEL auditorium, Agulu campus of the University recently.

Where he came from

Okoye who hails from Ekwulobia town in Aguata local government area of Anambra state had graduated from the Medical school, College of Health Sciences, Okofia, Nnewi campus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2014. But unlike many who would be fulfilled to have attained such envious professional height, he went on to obtain a Direct Entry form to study Pharmacy.

The 31-year-old Dr Pharm Okoye revealed that his success in life stems from his resilience and resolve to distinguish himself among his contemporaries.

He said:

“The drive was as a result of a need to distinguish me, to be unique, carve a niche for myself, go through unfamiliar terrain. I just love excellence. It took a lot of discipline, a focused mind, and sheer commitment to achieving the goals I set for myself.”
